Dr. Reed is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. He provides advanced care for conditions including macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal detachments, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes, using medical, laser, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Born and raised in the Boston area, Dr. Reed earned degrees in Engineering Sciences and Biochemical Engineering from Dartmouth College before completing his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute, and a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Wills Eye Institute.

Dr. Reed is committed to providing skillful, compassionate care and stays at the forefront of research and treatment in retinal disease. He lives on the South Shore with his wife and children.
