Dr. Chan is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been caring for patients on Cape Cod for more than 10 years. She specializes in the medical and surgical management of corneal and external eye diseases, with expertise in corneal transplantation, pterygium excision, ocular surface reconstruction, cataract surgery, and the treatment of dry eye disease.
Dr. Chan completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Cornell University and earned her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. She went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, where she served as Chief Fellow and conducted dry eye research at the Schepens Eye Research Institute.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chan has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Cape Cod Hospital. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
With a patient-centered approach and access to the latest techniques, Dr. Chan is dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals with cornea-related conditions and vision needs.
